Mesha Paul is the author of Behind Closed Doors: A Survivor’s Story of Domestic Violence and Redemption, a deeply personal story that shines a light on the realities of domestic violence that often remain hidden from the outside world.

For many years, Mesha did not recognize some of the behaviors she experienced as abuse because toxic patterns had been normalized in her life. Like many survivors, she learned that what happens behind closed doors can look very different from what others see on the outside.

That realization became part of the reason she chose to tell her story.

In Behind Closed Doors, Mesha opens up about her experiences with domestic violence while helping readers understand that abuse is not limited to physical violence. Her story explores the fear, confusion, isolation, and emotional wounds that can exist within an abusive relationship, while also sharing a journey of faith, resilience, healing, redemption, and ultimately finding the courage to reclaim her life.

Today, Mesha is the founder of Rise Up Brave Souls, a domestic violence advocate, certified life coach, and host of the Silent No Longer with Mesha Paul podcast.
