MEET THE AUTHOR: JORGE L. RODRIGUEZ M.Ed

Born on December 26, 1956, in New York City, Jorge L. Rodriguez has spent his life at the intersection of service, education, technology, and storytelling, a journey shaped by determination, curiosity, and an enduring desire to make a difference.

In 1975, Jorge answered the call to serve his country by joining the United States Marine Corps. His military service ended with an Honorable Discharge under medical conditions, but that did not mark the end of his commitment to serving others. He subsequently joined the 65th Infantry Regiment of the United States Army Reserve in Puerto Rico, where he continued his military service until 1983, earning a second Honorable Discharge.

His passion for technology and engineering soon led him to Prairie View A&M University in Texas, where he pursued studies in Mechanical Engineering. In 1984, while attending the university, he participated in a cooperative education program with NASA at Moffett Field, California, gaining valuable experience in an environment where science, engineering, and innovation converged.

Jorge's pursuit of knowledge continued beyond engineering. In 1986, he graduated from Cambridge College in Massachusetts with a Master of Education in Managing New Technologies, combining his interests in education and emerging technology.

Years later, his interests took him into an increasingly specialized field. At Full Sail University, in Florida, Jorge worked on the development and design of educational media intended to support children with autism. His work reflected a growing belief that technology could be more than a tool, it could become a means of expanding educational opportunities and improving lives. In 2010, he earned a Master of Science in Educational Media Development.

Beyond his professional and academic accomplishments, Jorge considers family to be among his greatest achievements. Since 1986, he has been married to Monika Brigitte Rodriguez, his wife of 40 years. Together, they have two children, Cindy and Carlos, and three grandsons, Michael, Gabriel, and Nicholas.

Now, Jorge brings his diverse experiences in service, education, technology, and human relationships into the world of fiction. He is the author of Conjoined Justice: A Legal Thriller, a novel that explores the difficult boundaries between identity, responsibility, morality, and the law.

From military service to engineering, from NASA to educational technology, and ultimately to the written page, Jorge L. Rodriguez's journey has been defined by one consistent principle: the belief that the most difficult questions are often the ones worth asking.
